Online formation with ZOOM
Date: Thursday October 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (Montreal time)
1:30 of Continuing Legal Education
Description:
It is not easy to keep track of the developments on copyright and AI in Europe! The AI Act and the Like case before the Court of Justice of the European Union, which should provide the first opportunity for the Court to pronounce itself on copyright issues related to generative AI, are but two examples of the topics that will be discussed by our two speakers. This event should help us appreciate why we hear about the « Brussels effect » when referring to EU developments in AI.
This online event is the first in a two-part series which should include a presentation on US developments.
Costs (taxes not included):
Free for students
$40.00 for members of ALAI Canada (you must be log in to see this to have access to this fee)

Prof. Martin Senftleben, University of Amsterdam
